You've come to the right place if you're looking for a small-scale, off-the-beaten path tour in the Netherlands. With decades of travel experiences ourselves, we develop unique walking tours and other experiences that we think travelers love. We explore non-touristy places that are not well-known, but even when they are we do our own thing. We are enthusiastic and dedicated to showing you our beautiful heritage. As if you are traveling with a local friend.

Walking tours
For the walking tours you meet the guide in the city for an interesting and entertaining journey by foot. We also offer guided tours of sights such as Amsterdam castle and the flower auction.
Authentic and responsible tourism
By visiting non-touristic places, thereby sharing the real Netherlands with you, we escape mass tourism as much as possible and contribute to small communities instead. When we do visit well-known places we still do our own thing and make sure you have the most authentic experience possible.
Approachable and personable
We are proud to work with a small team of local guides that are approachable and personable. Our guides connect with our travelers, find out what they are interested in and anticipate on those interests.
Learn about the real Netherlands
Our guides are informative and knowledgable as well as entertaining and fun. They know the city and its culture like the back of their hands. Our guides don't shy away from sensitive or controversial topics but instead offer multiple perspectives placed in different contexts.

Are you a tour guide and would you like to add more quality to your tours? A Tour Guide Whisper System allows your travelers to wander off and take photos while listening to the interesting information and stories you are telling. Moreover, it makes walking with a group more safe and convenient, because without difficulty or the need to raise your voice your travelers can hear you instructions clearly. The guide uses a transmitter and the travelers the receivers.
Guiding for Tulip Day Tours
Are you an experienced local guide, or would you like to become one?
Although experience is preferred, we think enthusiasm, eagerness, willingness to learn, storytelling and being able to connect with our international travelers is more important. As we aim for authenticity our guides come from all walks of life. Some of our guides are students and others are already retired. You'll receive a training when you don't have the experience yet.
